We joined St Mary's in 1988, shortly after moving to West Moors. From the moment we entered, we thought what a beautiful little church it is. Over the years we have been involved in many aspects of the life of St Mary's and are very committed to its role within West Moors.
Today, the welcoming, friendly and caring church community is very special to us and we want other to experience what it is to be part of and grow spiritually at St Mary's, with Andrew at the helm.

I have been a regular member of St Mary's Church since about the age of nine (I am now 24!). I went to St Mary's First School and learnt the importance of a Christian based family life from a very early age. I am now trying to bring up my own child with the same ethos and the love and the support we get from St Mary's is phenomenal. There are so many people who think and care about each other - it is very refreshing in this increasingly egocentric society! St Mary's is more than a simply a building where people meet, but a community; a family in which we all have an equal share in the promise of the Divine Love.

In 1981, the Vicar was encouraging everyone, through the magazine, to give a warm welcome to Christmas visitors, even if that was the only occasion they came to church. That's good, I thought, it's very off putting when you're made to feel guilty because you haven't been in church recently. So we came, and found the welcome was just as described. To my surprise I found I enjoyed the formality of the services, even if not in every detail. I appreciate the sense of occasion, which helps to concentrate the mind from the day to day scrabble of life, and I do appreciate the weekly Eucharist. I have visited and belonged to many different churches, all interesting and enjoyable in their varied forms of worship. At St Mary's I feel at home.
