School Links

Since 1896 the Church has been at the centre of the development of education in West Moors, supporting and governing our St Mary's Church of England Voluntary Controlled First School, which has a distinct Christian ethos and has been rated as 'outstanding' in its SIAS inspection.  Our Vicar and church members give time to our school as Foundation Governors, helpers and also leading assemblies on a weekly basis.  We are proud of our links to the school and they are welcomed into church frequently during the year (Easter, Mothering Sunday, Summer Leavers, Harvest and Christmas).  Church and School run a joint Fete in July each year. 

We also have important links to Oakhurst First, West Moors Middle and Ferndown Upper Schools.  The Vicar is also serves as an LEA appointed Governor at Oakhurst Community First School.
