Alpha logo Alpha Course - an introduction to Christianity

This is a friendly course which has given many people a fun way to find out more about what it means to live as a Christian.  There is really no pressure and you can participate or drop-out without any hassle.  It is normally run on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 until 9.30 pm at various locations, depending on the group.  There is also an 'Away-Day' on a Saturday mid-course.  Contact Revd. Andrew Rowland for more information.

Alpha is normally a ten-week course seeking to explore the meaning of life for Christians today.  The evenings are relaxed - we start with a cooked supper, listen to a themed talk with a PowerPoint presentation, have tea and coffee then break into smaller groups for discussion of the talk, or any other issue that is raised.  Isn't Christianity boring untrue or irrelevant?  Who was Jesus?  Why did he die?  How can I be sure of my faith?  What is the Holy Spirit?  These are some of the titles of the talks.

Alpha is a chance to learn about the Christian faith, or a refresher for those who might feel uncertain and an opportunity to deepen and explore faith.

Alpha is friendly, relaxed and great fun!

Alpha food, fun, friends and a chance to explore the meaning of life from a Christian perspective in a relaxed atmosphere.
